At the September 17, 2026 BPAC meeting, Ruth Meza and Jane Mei, from OakDOT’s Major Projects Division will present on two of four RM3 SR2TBT design and construction grant applications in development: 7th Street Bay Trail West Enhancement and Bay Trail Gap Closure Central. (Kennedy Street Corridor and 8th Street Corridor Improvements projects were presented to BPAC in July 2026, and September 2026, respectively).

MTC Regional Measure 3 (RM3) Safe Routes to Transit & Bay Trail (SR2TBT) Grant

At the September 19, 2024 BPAC meeting, OakDOT staff will share an overview of the new Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) RM3 SR2TBT grant program and project proposals for the October 14, 2024, application deadline. OakDOT will be submitting the 8th Street Corridor Improvements Project, 5th Ave Project, and 85th Ave Project, and MTC will be submitting the West Oakland Link Project. The projects were previously presented at the September 5, 2024 Infrastructure Committee meeting.
