About

This blog aims to make public information more accessible to Oaklanders who are interested in what the City of Oakland is doing to improve bicycling, walking, and other active transportation modes.

Most people don’t have the time to attend meetings at City Hall, read council reports, or sift through powerpoint presentations. This blog will present all that information in more accessible formats, as well as link to related news coverage by local reporters.

This blog was created by Dianne Yee, one of the commissioners on the Oakland Bicyclist and Pedestrian Advisory Commission (BPAC).

Current BPAC commissioners will not be discussing their views on this site, but they can share more information in response to public comments.

The official BPAC page is here.
