Acronyms:
- BPAC = Bicyclist and Pedestrian Advisory Commission, a city-appointed volunteer group that meets monthly to discuss and advise staff on bike & walk projects, policy, and funding
- DOT = Oakland Department of Transportation
- HSIP = Highway Safety Improvement Program, a federal funding source for traffic safety projects at high injury locations
- ATP = Active Transportation Program, a state funding source for bike/walk projects
- LPI = “Leading pedestrian interval” — a walk light is provided a few seconds in advance of the green light for cars

- Several HSIP projects reviewed previously are under construction or completed
- Several ATP projects reviewed previously are at 100% design and awarded to contractors, construction to start 2022
- March meeting open forum follow-up: Is the Neighborhood Bike Route (NBR) guide available?

- With the new 5-year paving plan, there is a big opportunity for coordination to implement NBR upgrades along with paving
- Staff is interested in bringing back “next steps” to committee

- East Oakland access to waterfront
- Could be presented to both infrastructure committee and full BPAC
- Inquiry into selection process for TOWN for All project focused on Downtown-Jack London waterfront connections but not East Oakland
