Safe Oakland Streets (SOS) Initiative 2025 Annual Update

Traffic stops continued to focus on moving violations in 2025.

At the June 18, 2026 BPAC meeting, Jasmine Pomar will present the Safe Oakland Streets (SOS) 2025 Annual Informational Report. With the goal of eliminating crash disparities and fatalities, SOS tracks and reports annually on five strategy areas that inform interdepartmental collaboration and action. Included in the presentation is an analysis of the traffic safety improvements delivered in 2025, an analysis of traffic enforcement in 2025, and highlights related to policy advancement, partnerships, and engagement.
