September 2026 Infrastructure Committee Meeting

The September 2026 BPAC Infrastructure Committee is on Thursday, September 3, 2026, 3:30-5:30pm in-person at the Broadway Conference Room on the 4th floor at the 250 Frank Ogawa Plaza building. The agenda is below and also available here [PDF].

Members of the public may comment on any issue within BPAC Infrastructure Committee’s subject matter jurisdiction. Comments on a scheduled agenda item will be heard with that item. To request City services, please contact the City of Oakland Call Center (311).
33:50Slow Streets Network (35 minutes)
Jason Patton & Stephen Tu with OakDOT’s Bicycle & Pedestrian Program will share an update on Oakland’s slow streets network. In Summer 2025, a draft network was released for public review and feedback. Staff will discuss the response to comments and share a revised draft network.
44:258th Street Corridor Improvements (40 minutes)
Ruth Meza from the Major Projects Division will discuss the draft 65% designs for 8th Street and draft 35% designs for 9th Street, along with public engagement that is currently progressing.
55:05Meeting Time for the Infrastructure Committee (15 minutes)
Infrastructure Committee Co-chair Robert Prinz will lead a discussion of the current meeting time for this group.
65:20Future agenda item requests (10 minutes)
Following a discussion at the August BPAC meeting, the Committee’s November agenda will include an item on options for quick-build solutions to create access to the Bay Trail from 66th Ave and across I-880.
