At the March 21, 2024 BPAC meeting, Craig Raphael from OakDOT’s Capital Finance and Planning team and Charlie Ream from OakDOT’s Project Development team will present on the Department’s plans for Spring/Summer 2024 Grant Applications including the Transportation Development Act Article 3 (TDA), Active Transportation Program (ATP), and Safe Streets 4 All (SS4A) grant applications.
At the March 7, 2024 BPAC Infrastructure Committee meeting, City of Oakland Department of Transportation (OakDOT) staff in the Great Streets Division, Planning and Project Development Section will provide an update regarding the status of the LAMMPS and Seminary Avenue Projects. The upper segment of the Seminary Avenue Paving Project will become LAMMPS Phase 3, a Class I path from Camden Street to Sunnymere Avenue, and the lower segment from Foothill Boulevard to Camden Street will continue as a paving project with pedestrian and traffic calming improvements.
At the March 7, 2024 BPAC Infrastructure Committee meeting, OakDOT staff in the Safe Streets Division, Bicycle and Pedestrian Program will provide an introduction to the Lakeshore Ave Separated Bike Lanes Project. After a brief background, the presentation and discussion will focus on the concept plans for the proposed two-way cycle track on Lakeshore Avenue from East 18th Street to El Embarcadero.
Expected construction year: Expedited from 2027 to 2025
The BPAC Infrastructure Committee meeting will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, 3:30-5:30pm in-person at the Broadway Conference Room at 250 Frank Ogawa Plaza building.
