Commissioner Applications are Open for Jan. 2025 Term

The BPAC is seeking applications for new commissioners to start 3-year terms in January 2025. Applications are due Thursday, September 12, 2024. If you have any questions, please contact OakDOT staff liaison to the BPAC Noel Pond-Danchik.

The City of Oakland accepts applications on a rolling basis for three-year terms on the Oakland Bicyclist & Pedestrian Advisory Commission (BPAC). The purpose of the BPAC is to advise City Council and City of Oakland staff on bicyclist and pedestrian-specific policies, projects, and programs, and to advocate for safe, effective and equitable bicycle and pedestrian projects and programs throughout Oakland.

The applicant must live in Oakland and have a demonstrated history of professional and/or community involvement with bicyclist and/or pedestrian issues. In selecting commissioners, the Mayor will strive for equity and geographic representation of Oakland’s neighborhoods.
