At the November 6, 2025 BPAC Infrastructure Committee meeting, Alameda County Transportation Commission staff will provide a presentation and update on the San Pablo Ave Parallel Bike Improvements Project in North Oakland, and the Bus Lanes and Bike Lanes Project from Downtown Oakland to the Berkeley border.

Bus Lanes & Bike Lanes Project — Key Outreach Issues and Resolutions
- Pedestrian:
- Additional crosswalks (Isabella St, 37th St, 62nd St, 63rd St, 67th St)
- Upgraded ped crossings (66th St RRFB, more high-viz on side streets)
- Fewer ped-bike mixing areas
- Bike:
- Better connections to other current and future bike facilities (e.g. 41st St./Park Ave., Thomas L Berkeley Way/20th Street)
- Loading zone design critiques
- Bus Stops: Preserve stops at senior facilities, adjust designs
- St. Mary’s Center and nearby senior housing in West Oakland
- Bus Lanes: Consider treatments to deter illegal bus lane use
- Potential lane delineators and/or speed cushions
- Traffic: Maintain access to San Pablo from several side streets
- West St. (NB West to NB San Pablo)
- Sycamore St.
- MacArthur/Apgar
- Parking/Loading:
- Two additional loading zones on San Pablo Ave (2800 San Pablo in Oakland, 2900 San Pablo in Berkeley)
- Numerous changes to curb space designations
- Add parking spaces on side streets where feasible
